IE 8: Can’t copy words from MS Word to Blogger

Today I downloaded IE 8 in my PC with Windows XP SP3 to surf some websites. One interesting fact I found today was that if I wrote some keywords in .docx or .txt and wanted to copy them to my blog, I couldn't paste them to blogspot on IE 8 because "paste" is disabled when I right clicked the mouse. Crtl+ v is not working , either.

If I went to Tools, Compatibility View Settings, and checked Display all websites in compatibility view, I could paste the words from .txt or .docx to BlogSpot on IE 8.

Uploading the images using IE 8 makes UI look so ugly in blogger.

Do you think it is an interesting issue?

I had the same problem after downloading IE 8. I can't right click and paste the HTML code from my photo hosting site into blogger. Is there a way around this? Thanks!

Go to Tools, Compatibility View Settings, and checked Display all websites in compatibility view. You can copy and paste it.

Good tip people! I didn't know where to look, so I took the path of least resistance and just powered on my backup browser - Firefox! ;-)

Thanks for this post and to Ray for the help. Also, I just discovered the button by the browser, next to refresh that looks like a broken piece of paper. It has something to do with compatability, too. Clicking that did it for me.

I love Google. Wish it was around when I went to school. Tapped in ‘blogger copy paste broken IE8’, because I had a feeling about this shiny new IE8 I installed. Up you popped. And your solution. Which is the solution…Compatibility view. Thanks, Ray!
